Hello, my name is Liv Rankin and I was born and raised in Williams Lake, BC.
I am 21 years old and my preferred pronouns are she/her.
Some family background information about myself includes: that I have 2 older sisters, both whom are married to two amazing men, and my oldest sister blessed us with my first nephew and niece, Fraser and Frankie.
In the summers I spend almost all of my time training and coaching for the Bc and Canada waterski team. I love competing in this sport, and as I have gotten older, helping train and mentor the upcoming skiers in the sport as well. In the winter I turn to snow skis and love spending my time on the mountain. Furthermore, I enjoy spending any other time I have with my family or travelling.
I graduated from Lake City secondary school in 2018 and have since been studying at UNBC. I obtained my 90 credits in mostly English and First Nations courses and then applied to the Bed program. My passion for teaching stemmed from coaching and the influence of my eldest sister who helped me see my true passions. I believe that my passion for helping others will assist my ability to be a compassionate and inspiring teacher. I strive to find connectivity with students and help them reach whichever goals they aim to achieve. I am excited to have found a place that I feel I can express myself creatively and enjoy learning. I am passionate about becoming the best teacher I can be and cannot wait to bring the skills I learn from this program to my classroom.
