Practicum 490 was the first time I felt I truly was able to explore and practice assessment. My coaching teacher helped guide me and taught me various ways to assess for all students. For math during this practicum, I chose to do a math project in  which students would design, plan and physically create a taco truck business. For this project I wanted students to assess their own progress throughout, while also receiving some teacher feedback as they go. I split this project into 3 parts and each part students would self assess themselves with a rubric I provided them with. Once completed students would hand in the first part of their project with their self assessment and I would them use my own rubric to provide additional feedback and then would then begin the second part of their project. Students expressed they appreciated the feedback throughout and also having a say on their own learning.
